The SL-2000-P Duct Smoke Detector, originating from Air Products & Controls (APC), USA, is engineered for reliable fire safety within HVAC and ventilation systems. Installed directly inside ventilation ducts and paired with strategic protective zone designs, it efficiently detects smoke as it enters the ductwork. Utilizing advanced photoelectric technology, the unit triggers an immediate alarm signal when the concentration of smoke particles in the sampled air reaches a predetermined threshold, automatically shutting down fans and related equipment to prevent the circulation of toxic and combustible gases into protected areas.
Designed for seamless system integration, the SL-2000-P features versatile alarm contacts that interface effortlessly with central controllers, HVAC systems, and other safety devices. It also provides dedicated output terminals to support a wide variety of remote accessories, including horns, flashing lights, remote indicators, and test/reset switches or buttons. For enhanced operational reliability, the cover includes a built-in missed-fill warning feature. To ensure maximum detection accuracy, sampling tubes are available in multiple lengths and are recommended to span the entire width of the duct for comprehensive air sampling.
