Globe Valve

Linear motion valves equipped with a movable plug (or disk) and a stationary ring seat inside a spherical-shaped body, designed primarily to regulate, start, stop, and throttle fluid flow within a piping system.

Unlike gate valves—which are meant strictly for fully open or fully closed on/off service—globe valves excel in throttling applications because the disk can be positioned incrementally to control flow rates.
